Editorial Description

A quarterly journal that covers all historical and cultural aspects relating to Asian martial arts. In addition to illustrated articles, each issue includes media reviews, announcements and reports on institutes that are noted for source materials and/or specialty collections. New PRINT EDITION format for 2010: 128-pages; cover perfect bound 6" x 9". Also, the is an ONLINE EDITION providing website links to our advertisers.
 
Audience
The journal is targeted for college-level readers of varied backgrounds, ages and occupations. International subscribers include: practitioners, scholars, schools, university and public libraries, and other institutes. A large percentage of readers are interested in purchasing Asian related materials, especially publications, videos, DVDs, and art objects. Another strong area of interest is in the special services provided by institutes, associations, museums, schools, libraries and travel/tour industries.

Advertising Acceptability
All advertising is subject to approval by the Publisher. The right is reserved to reject any advertising which, in the opinion of the Publisher, does not conform to the standards of the journal. We are seeking advertising that reflects an interest in martial arts that is mature and practical, stressing the academic and aesthetic tastes of the intended audience.

Billing and Discounts
1) All accounts must pay in full for their ads by the closing dates of the issues in which the ads are to appear. Checks or money orders in U.S. dollars; payable to Via Media Publishing Company.
2) No cancellations accepted after deadline.
3) Billing: Payment is based on net 30 days. $25.00 per month late payment charge.
2% service/interest charge per month after 30 days.
4) Advertisers will be held responsible for any and all costs incurred in collecting unpaid bills, including court and legal costs.
5) Verbal instructions in reference to ads must be confirmed in writing before the closing date. Ads received after the closing date will be run in the following issue unless notified otherwise. Repeating ads will be placed as given unless new copy is provided.

Advertisers assume all responsibility and liability for all claims arising from advertisements and will protect the Publisher from the same. A complete legal street address and phone number is required for our files for those advertisers using a post office box number in their ad.

Material Requirements
Computer generated files are preferred, Macintosh compatible in TIFF, EPS or PDF format. Supply laser proofs. For any ads you want us to compose, submit typed copy of the exact wording and a description of how you may wish the ad to appear. Include photos or a copy of any art you may wish to include. Standard rates available. Finished art is subject to your approval.
